So, I'm working on an new style, or something like that. Essentially trying to escape my "poor-anime" roots. I've been looking around a few artists and a few webcomics / comics that I'm a fan of and for the most part trying out different ways to do faces and to a lesser extent, lines.

I wanted to draw something, but I was lacking inspiration so I pulled up the first random favourite on my home page which was an image called "Only me and the music" by "Mako-fufu" (find it here: [link] ) and after taking it in, quickly doodled it up without looking back at it.

I'd say I'm happiest about the nose.

Ah, thanks. I feel kinda bad that such a poor replication has got to the attention of the original artist though. it's nowhere near as good as your version.
